# Herbarius

> Herbarius is a medieval botanical garden founded in 2004 by Florence Goulley in Planguenoual, Brittany (France). The 3-hectare site preserves biodiversity through permaculture practices and features collections of medicinal, aromatic, edible, and dye plants inspired by medieval herbalism.

- **Botanical tours**: Self-guided (€5) or guided (€10), approximately 2 hours. 10 themed tours including medieval plants, wild edibles, healing trees, natural gardening.
- **Workshops**: 2h30, groups up to 25 people (€200/group or €15/person). 13 workshops: edible flowers, wild plant cooking, sweet-making, aromatic plants, composting, plant cuttings, willow weaving.
- **Lectures**: Edible plants, medieval plants, garden biodiversity, plant liquid feeds, medieval garden design.
- **Medieval garden design**: Professional design and planting of medieval-inspired gardens. Notable projects: Jardin Saint Jean de Lamballe (2011), Cloître de Léhon (2013).
- **Plant nursery**: March to June, mornings 9:30–12:00. Edible flowers, ancient vegetables, 40 tomato varieties, 10 squash varieties, aromatic herbs, medicinal simples, dye plants.

## Accommodation

- **Treehouse**: €100/night, 2 people, 16 m², sea view, open year-round. Perched at 5 metres, private terrace.
- **Wooden tent**: €50/night, 2 people + 1 child, immersed in nature.
- **Farm campsite**: €15/pitch + €5/adult + €4/child. 6 pitches, 20 people max. Tents, vans, motorhomes. Wheelchair accessible.
